The former cricketer's wife was also not happy with the exclusion of the 15-year-old batter, questioning the team management's point of view behind restoring the opening pair of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma, as the former Team India skipper claimed in his official video.
"Yesterday, because Sooryavanshi didn’t play, we started watching a movie. My wife was shouting that Sooryavanshi didn’t play and started arguing that someone who was the Player of the Match in the last match isn’t playing. Even my wife is questioning his exclusion. You are not treating Sooryavanshi properly. Now, if he plays the next match, he’ll wonder whether he’ll be dropped if he doesn’t score," Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the best player of the series vs Zimbabwe
Sooryavanshi made his Team India debut in England only a few months ago. He was not in great form against the England cricket team, but bounced back to his original form soon after landing in Zimbabwe for a brief T20I series.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi concluded the series against Zimbabwe as the player of the series. Before the ongoing India vs Afghanistan series, the matches in Zimbabwe were the previous T20I assignment for the Men in Blue, where the emerging cricketer emerged as the best batter.
