The bilateral white-ball series between Bangladesh and India has been postponed again. The series was proposed for September this year, which is unlikely to happen. Latest reports suggest that the India vs Bangladesh series in Bangladesh might have been postponed, but not entirely cancelled.
An ANI journalist from his official 'X' account claims that the series in Bangladesh could be arranged next year, probably in January 2027. Nods from the governments of both nations are required before arranging the series.
Political reasons did not allow the India vs Bangladesh series to take place
Political causes have disrupted the series between these two nations again and again. The India and Bangladesh cricket teams were actually expected to face each other in the previous year, which did not take place, and were rumoured to take place in September this year. However, the latest scenarios are not suitable for the long-awaited series.
In the next month, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is confirmed to host India in Delhi for a three-match T20I series. Soon after the conclusion of the series against Afghanistan, the Men in Blue will have to prepare for the Asian Games and a series against West Indies. So there is practically no room left for taking part in another series.
BCB head Tamim Iqbal tried his best to host Team India this year
The Tamim Iqbal-led Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was reportedly trying its best to host the India National Cricket Team in the next month through continuous exchange of dialogues with the BCCI and with the governments of both of the nations. Iqbal was reportedly visited BCCI's Center of Excellence in Bengaluru as well.
Because of a virtual press conference of Sheikh Hasina, a fresh political debate between these two neighbouring nations sparked. Days after the fresh political tension, ACB announced their series against Team India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Next year's January is also packed with several matches. The year will begin for the Indian cricket team with a series against Zimbabwe. From January 3 to January 9, India will be engaged in the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Then there will be a series against Australia. The Australia cricket team is scheduled to play a 5-match Test series against India, which will start on January 21.
Between January 9 and January 21, there will be a very small window, an 11-day gap. Otherwise, in January, there is no space for India to play a series. The series against Australia will be very crucial for the Indian cricket team; for that,t they will have to do proper preparations.
