Australia Playing 11 vs West Indies- 3rd T20I, Australia tour of West Indies 2025

Australia will take on the West Indies in the third of the five-match T20I series. This article provides details about Australia's Playing 11 vs the West Indies for the third match of the series.
Australia Playing 11 vs West Indies- 3rd T20I, Australia tour of West Indies 2025:
Openers: Mitchell Marsh (c), Glenn Maxwell
The visitors would like to replicate the performance they delivered in the first two T20Is against West Indies, courtesy of a win, and would want to seal the series with two matches to go.
Australia made a change at the top in the last match as they dropped McGurk and made Glenn Maxwell open the innings.
The duo of captain Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell started in the same fashion as the Australian openers did in the opening match of the series, i.e, in an attacking manner.
Although the partnership was cut short by some good bowling from Jason Holder, who picked up the important wicket of Glenn Maxwell early in the innings but that did not deter Mitchell Marsh from continuing in his usual way.
The former T20 World Cup winners are expected to go in what can prove to be a decider at Warner Park in St Kitts with the same opening combination.
The pair would like to start the innings in their usual manner against the likes of Jason Holder and Alzarri Joseph.
Having said that, both Marsh and Maxwell would hope to prolong their innings to get the team off to a solid start and make things easy for the incoming batters.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Josh Inglis (wk), Cameron Green, Tim David, Mitchell Owen, Cooper Connolly
The opening duo will be succeeded by a middle order that has caused the most trouble for the home side and comprises the likes of Josh Inglis, Cameron Green, Tim David, Mitchell Owen, and Cooper Connolly.
The onus will be on the likes of wicketkeeper batter Josh Inglis, who scored a match-winning fifty in the last match and guided the team to a relatively easy win after losing a couple of wickets early in a tricky chase.
Inglis will once again get the support of Cameron Green, who has solidified his place in the top four with a couple of good innings in the first two matches and would want to build on it.
The role of the finisher will be fulfilled by Tim David, Mitchell Owen, and Cooper Connolly, all of whom can switch positions according to the situation of the game.
Bowlers: Ben Dwarshuis, Sean Abbott, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa
Like their batting, the Aussie bowling can also be flexible with the presence of Cooper Connolly and Glenn Maxwell, who can bowl an over or two in the powerplay.
Including the two, Australia has a total of eight bowlers who are fit to bowl, with Tim David a part of the playing XI.
The team's fast bowling will be looked after by Ben Dwarshuis, Sean Abbott, and Nathan Ellis, with Abbott expected to return for the third match after missing the previous one.
Australia's spin bowling department, on the other hand, will once again have a lot of options with Adam Zampa being the only full-time spinner.
