2025 PREVIEWS: ‘New signing’ Evans a boost for Mossley Hill skipper Roberts

Mossley Hill’s Adam Roberts is looking forward to the new season – with a returning player who is “like a new signing”.

All-rounded Alex Evans missed last season with a ruptured Achilles tendon but is ready to go again. 

And he will be joined in the side by Farhad Waqar, recruited from Irby.

Roberts said: Overall I think we’re better off than last year. 

“It’s an interesting one – we finished sixth but should have been higher. And the top three have all left, so it’s a real unknown especially with Alder coming down and all the changes they’ve had.

“We’re really pushing to be up there challenging if we can, but we’re aiming for top half. It’d be nice to be up there and winning regularly, that’s all we can ask for.”
